At Somerly Primary School, we are lucky to have an active and engaging P&C Association – a dedicated group of parents, caregivers and community members, committed to fostering a warm, inclusive school community.
The P&C collaborates with parents, staff, students, and the wider community to support the educational, social, and emotional wellbeing of every student. Through fundraising and engagement, including vibrant events the whole community enjoys, we allocate resources to programs and initiatives that enhance learning and nurture a supportive environment, ensuring our school thrives as a connected, caring community.
We warmly welcome everyone to join the P&C and help shape our school’s future. Whether volunteering at our lively events, contributing ideas, or supporting our initiatives, there are many ways to make a difference.
Meetings
Attending P&C meetings, usually held twice per term, is an excellent way to connect with our school and meet fellow parents and carers. Our Principal shares updates, while we discuss ideas, school needs, and fund allocation in a relaxed, informative setting.
Communication
The P&C shares updates via the school’s ‘Seesaw’ app and our private Somerly Primary Families Facebook page, managed by the P&C for school community members. Occasionally, news is also published in the school newsletter.
How Can You Help
There are many ways you can become more involved in the school community:
- Attend or join our committee meetings to share your ideas.
